Classes now offered at Arts Craft Center

Appalachian Arts Craft Center in Norris is offering the following art classes in December:

Felting an Adorable Deer, Bead Weaving Class: Christmas/Winter Bracelet or Gift Tags/Ornament, and Painting a Snowy Night. For additional information, call 865-494-9854, visit our Facebook page or appalachianarts.net.

Felting an Adorable Deer with Karen Bills and Nancy Shedden i svailable from 1 - 5:30 p.m. Dec. 8.

In this class participants will learn to make an adorable deer to give as a gift or add to their own décor. Students will needle felt or sculpt with wool to create a three-dimensional deer with wool using a barbed needle. Earlybird Cost: $40 members, $50 nonmembers. After November 24: $50/$60. Materials fee: $5 payable to the teachers at class. A multi-needle tool will be available for additional $12. Registration Deadline: Dec. 1. All evels - no experience required.

Bead Weaving Class: Christmas/Winter Bracelet or Gift Tags/Ornaments, with Sharon Wilcox from noon - 1 p.m. Dec. 9 and 1 -4 p.m. Dec. 12

Students will be using peyote stitch to make individual Christmas/winter squares.

The squares can be sewn together to make a bracelet or used separately on gifts or on a Christmas tree. AACC Members: $55 Non-Members $65 Registration Deadline. December 2

Painting a Snowy Night with Melanie Fetterolf available from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m. Dec. 14.

All skill levels are invited to come paint Snowy Night with us! Melanie will guide students to create an acrylic on canvas painting using a variety of brushes and painting techniques.

All supplies are included. Early Bird Fee: $35 for Members, $45 for nonmembers. After November 30 Fee: $45/$55 Registration deadline: Dec. 7.
