Arts Craft Center announces August classes
Appalachian Arts Craft Center in Clinton/Norris, is offering the following art classes in August: Pondering, Painting, and Planting Peace Poles on Aug. 28 and Painting Sunflowers on Aug. 30.

Pondering, Painting, and Planting Peace Poles with Claudia Fulshaw will be held from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Join the center for an end of summer mix of art, spirit, nature and rest as participants spend a day creating peace poles for their yards, gardens or communities. Students will be creating their own peace poles in an array of colors with messages, thoughts, quotes, prayers and poetry, all with the intention of spreading a little more peace, love and light in this world. Registration deadline is Aug. 7. Member rate is $110 and non-member rate is $120.
Painting Sunflowers with Melanie Fetterolf will last from 2-5 p.m.
All skill levels are invited to come paint sunflowers at the center. Melanie will guide students to create acrylic-on-canvas paintings using a variety of brushes and techniques. All supplies are included.
Registration deadline is Aug. 23. Member rate is $35, non-member rate is $45.
