Fall antique festival won’t take place this year
The Anderson County Chamber of Commerce and the City of Clinton have made the difficult decision to postpone the 20th Annual Clinch River Fall Antique Festival until 2021.
The announcement was made via a press release Monday, Aug. 31.
Festival organizers held out as long as possible to make this decision in hopes that the festival would be able to be held, said the release, signed by chamber President Rick Meredith.
“The Chamber looks forward to the opportunity to reorganize this Fall Clinton tradition and return in 2021,” the release said. “We know this is disappointing to our community, but we look forward to seeing you next year.”
The spring antique festival, put on by Clinton merchants, was also canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.
