Upcoming schedule: The teams returned to action last Thursday at home against Knoxville’s Grace Christian Academy. Action began at 6 p.m.

Clinton City Schools Athletic Director E.T. Stamey announced the attendance regulations that will continue for the home games this season:

Tickets will be limited to two per player. Temperature checks will be performed upon entry. Face masks are required. Everyone must wear face coverings unless they are in an on-court, in-game situation.

Social-distancing protocols must be followed in seating. Game balls will be cleaned following each quarter. Standing-room-only attendance will be allowed at each game. Concessions will not be available.

Both teams must provide rosters to prove who will be in uniform on each night. No locker room use is permitted, and entrance will be at the front door only.

The Blaze and Lady Blaze were visited by Clinton High School coaches recently. The Dragons’ coaches encouraged Blaze and Lady Blaze players.

Among those who spoke were football Coach Darrell Keith, baseball Coach Rob Stacy, boys basketball Coach Chris Lockard and girls basketball Coach Alicia Phillips.

Stamey said he was grateful to the coaches.

“I’d like to give a huge thank you to the Clinton High School coaches for their time visiting our Blaze and their Dragon-bound athletes,” Stamey said.
