Memorial Day celebrated in Anderson County
The COVID-19 pandemic made the 2020 Memorial Day ceremony a virtual affair. Anderson County made up for that in 2021 with a live ceremony in front of the War Memorial on the courthouse lawn. The lawn and steps were filled with veterans and citizens, who came out in large numbers to mark the occassion. Above: Keynote speaker Maj. Jason Deal (retired) gave a personal and emotional speech to those in attendance.
