CES makes piece for Mosaic Art Festival

On May 12, Clinton Elementary School sixth-graders walked to the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce for a special event. As part of the inaugural Mosaic Art Festival, each sixth-grade class collectively created one piece of artwork to be displayed at the event on Market Street. CES students completed a needle-felt picture of Clinton. The piece of art was purchased by Rick Meredith, president of the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce. He invited the students over to the chamber office to officially sign the art work that will be displayed there. After signing the art piece, they were treated to Kona ice. Students even received a police escort for their walk. The needle-felt displays some of Clinton’s historic buildings, the water tower, and the Cumberland Mountains.
