Fairest of the Fair pageants help open ‘Six Best Days of Summer’

The Anderson County Fair is a week of highlights, but Monday night the spotlight always rests on the Fairest of the Fair pageants.

This year, the Princess, Junior Fairest, and Senior Fairest of the Fair events will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, July 12.

The Tiny Miss pageants will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 13.

Fairest of the Fair contestants:

Jillian Rebecca Bivens, 17, Oak Ridge, is a junior at Oak Ridge High School. She is the daughter of Mike Bivens and Janet Bivens.

She enjoys dancing with the Angela Floyd Dance Company, teaching at The Wildcat Preschool, and being an assistant teaching dance at the Angela Floyd School.

Her achievements include: Being crowned “Teen Miss” at Karns Fairest of the Fair; FCCLA Vice President for Oak Ridge High School; and 1st Runner-up Teen Miss Tennessee Valley Fairest of the Fair.

McKenzie Brianna Rupert, 16, Clinton, is a junior at Anderson County High School. She is the daughter of Thomas Martin and Johanna Martin.

She is an ACHS Cheerleader (two years), enjoys horseback riding, four wheeling, and mudding.

Her achievements include: Nominated for an award of Excellence from the National Academy of Future Physicians; holds an OSHA safety certification; and received gold standards in Future Farmers of America.

Allison Michelle Lowe, 16, is a sophmore at Anderson County High School. She is the daughter of William Lowe and Sonja Lowe.

She enjoys crafting, volleyball, and swimming.

Her achievements include: Getting A B honor roll; getting “a lot of hours” towards cosmology; and being an aunt.

Meghan Rebecca Bowers, 17, Oak Ridge, is a senior at Oak Ridge High School. She is the daughter of Stephen Bowers and Lisa Bowers.

She enjoys safety patrol, is involved in youth at her church, and student aid at school.

Her achievements include: Making the school cheer team; dual enrollment health care class; and part time employment.

Gabryelle Ann Allison, 17, Oak Ridge, is a senior at Oak Ridge High School. She is the daughter of Jamie Allison and Hollie Allison.

She enjoys being in Middle College, donating art to Anderson County Family Justice Center, and has cheered for eight years before this year.

Her achievements include: First place winner of many art competitions; holding a 4.4 GPA due to her college enrollment; and she had the highest grade in her English college course with a grade of 101

Haley Diane Dople, 18, Clinton, is enrolled at Roane State Community College. She is the daughter of Mickey Reeder and Janet Brown.

She enjoys modeling and acting for the STAIR Agency, working with people with disabilities. Has worked as a peer buddy while in high school, and “Towing with my dad.”

Her achievements include: Being selected to walk in the first Anderson County Fashion Week; being selected to be in a nationally televised TV show; and being awarded the Good Citizenship award from Clinton High School.

Kaylee Dawn Payne, 18, Clinton, is enrolled at Roane State Community College. She is the daughter of Steve Payne and Jana Payne.

She was an Anderson County High School (ACHS) cheerleader for two years, and ACHS Cross Country Runner for three years, and participates in barrel race/horseback riding.

Her achievements include: Captain of ACHS Cheer Squad; Outstanding Cheerleader 2020/202; and is an ACHS graduate with distinction.

Dallas Christine Nichol, 19, Clinton, is enrolld at the University of Tennessee. She is the daughter of Robert Nichol and Benita Nichol.

She enjoys volunteering at Riverside Community Hospital Emergency Room, drawing and painting, nature, listening to music, and intramural softball through the University of Tennessee.

Her achievements include: Red Cross Certified in CPR, First Aid, and AED; Varsity Captain for her high school softball team in her Senior Year; and finished her freshman year of college with an overall GPA of 3.86

Kinsley Teresa Williams, 20, Clinton, will attend Middle Tennessee State University. She is the daughter of Chris Williams and Tonya Williams.

She is an advocate for military and veterans affairs and is active with the Anderson County Disabled American Veterans division, assists the Quilts of Valor Association that hand-makes and presents quilts to local Anderson County veterans, and is a runway model for the Stair Agency in Clinton and a commercial model for Altar’d State, and is active with Roane State Community College’s Student Government Association.

Her achievements include: Graduating from Clinton High School in 2018 and is an upcoming college junior with a 3.85 GPA; is transferring to MTSU majoring in Aviation Management; was an All-District Softball Player for two years at Clinton High School and was active with Clinton High School’s Air Force ROTC and competed on their Drill Team (2015-2018); and is a volunteer licensed EMR with Anderson County EMS for three years and observed with UT LifeStar. (2016-present).
