Good things at the Fair

Clinton High School football fans continue to impress by how they travel to away games.

It was good to hear them Friday night calling out some strange officiating on the field at Chattanooga Central.

Last Thursday night, Clinton High School traveled to Oak Ridge for a district volleyball game, and it happened to be “Senior Night” for the Lady Wildcats. What struck me as neat (cool, classy, whatever) is that Oak Ridge also recognized the Clinton seniors.

I thought it was neat (cool, classy). And maybe that is the norm with volleyball — like I said, I know a little about the sport, but not the traditions, as it were.

So, if that’s the norm, honoring the other team’s seniors as well, then hats off to all the teams doing this.

If that’s not the norm, then Oak Ridge did a really neat thing.
