CHS band will host Clinch River Classic band competition
On Saturday, Sept. 24, the Clinton High School Band will host the Clinch River Classic marching band competition.
This contest will be held at the Dragon Stadium (Clinton City Field), located behind the Clinton Community Center.
Sixteen marching bands from Tennessee will be competing against each other in areas such as music ensemble, musical effect, visual ensemble, visual effect, percussion, color guard, and drum major.
With all bands attending, there will be more than 800 band students performing.
Besides the 16 competing bands, the Clinton High School Marching Band will perform its show in exhibition.
The gates will open at 1 p.m. and the first band will perform at 2 p.m.
The Clinton High School band will perform at 7:50 p.m., with the awards ceremony to follow.
The price of admission will be $5. Children 5 and under are free, and anyone wearing a current sports jersey from their school will get in for free. Please come out and enjoy a great day of marching bands.
