Touring K-25 History Center

  • On Friday, Feb. 10, Anderson County commissioners toured the K-25 History Center and then attended a luncheon briefing. At the briefing, Kenneth Rueter, president and CEO of United Cleanup Oak Ridge (in light shirt at the head table) and Jay Mullis. Oak Ridge environment manger with the Department of Energy Office of Environmental Management (in pink shirt at the head table), discussed cleanup efforts at the K-25 site as well as plans for cleanup and improvement. Also attending the event were commissioners Bob Smallridge, Stephan Verran, Micheal Foster, Joshua Anderson, Denise Palmer, Anthony Allen Tim Isbel, Catherine Denenberg and Tracy Wandell, and Anderson County Mayor Terry Frank.
