Anderson County Chamber Annual Business and Awards Luncheon
EDITOR:
The Anderson County Chamber of Commerce hosted the annual Business & Awards Luncheon, Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Faith Promise Church Anderson Campus in Clinton. The event was a huge success with standing ovations and tears. Rick Meredith, president of the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce, welcomed everyone with an introduction, and Jared Forgety, led all in a prayer.
The Business Excellence Awards are given each year to members who have shown an impact on the community and the Chamber. These winners are nominated by the Chamber membership. In addition to these prestigious awards, the newly added Non-Profit of the Year and the President’s Award were presented for the second year.
A Mexican taco bar catered by Apple Blossom Café & Catering was “loved” by all on Valentine’s Day. Chamber board Past-Chair Joey Smith shared our 2022 achievements and reflected on the five-year anniversary of the Clinton Vision and how far it has come.
The new 2023 Chamber board Chair Callie Archer shared her vision for the future of the Anderson Chamber of Commerce and building a future for our community and businesses through a capital campaign.
Callie Archer then presented the Woman-Owned Business and Non-Profit of the Year awards.
Past award recipients and honored guests also presented awards.
Rick Meredith presented the President’s Award and the Legacy Award, resulting in standing ovations for both recipients.
