Pilot Club of Oak Ridge to hold annual Arts and Crafts Fair

The Pilot Club of Oak Ridge’s annual Arts and Crafts Fair will take place on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 17-18, in the Oak Ridge Civic Center.

The hours on Friday will be from 10 a.m.-7 p.m., and on Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

This is the group’s 46th Arts and Crafts Fair.

The fair will include 80-plus booths, with a variety of arts and crafts such as silk and burlap wreaths, jewelry, scarfs, handbags, glass etching, crocheted items, repurposed furniture, pottery, wind chimes, lotions, scrubs, woodworking, jams, jellies, natural goat milk soaps, photographers, wood chimes, Christmas crafts and more.

There will also be food for sale from the kitchen. and a table of homemade baked items. Admission is free.

The Pilot Club of Oak Ridge was chartered in 1958 and began the Arts and Crafts Fair in 1977. It is a local branch of the Tennessee District of Pilot International. As a worldwide nonprofit service organization, its mission is to influence positive change in communities throughout the world.

To do this, yhe clubs come together in friendship and service, focusing on encouraging brain safety and health and supporting those who care for others.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will be used toward community projects, including, but not limited to, Ridgeview Group Homes and group transitional homes, Keystone Adult Day Program, Alzheimer’s Association, Special Education Teacher recognition, the Anderson County Family Justice Center, veterans, “Pick Me Ups” for those who care for others, and BrainMinders, a puppet program teaching young children how to protect their brains.
