Kingston, Oak Ridge tie in table tennis competition
Six senior table tennis players from Oak Ridge and six from Kingston competed in a team challenge competition at the Kingston Community Center on Wednesday, Nov. 8. Players from as far away as Crossville and Charleston traveled to compete in a total of 12 matches. At the end of the competition, Oak Ridge and Kingston tied 6-6.
Representing Oak Ridge were Blaine Stewart, Geoff Tillett, Greg Hamilton, Linh Le, Ruth Gove and Jack Clayton.
Kingston and Oak Ridge have table tennis groups. Oak Ridge meets three times a week: Tuesday from 3:30-6:30 p.m., Friday from 2-4 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Oak Ridge Senior Center.
