Three Clinton City Schools teachers received tenure at the Clinton City Board of Education meeting Thursday, May 9.

They were Amanda McAmis, Mackenzie Earle and Christin Webb.

To achieve tenure status, a teacher must work in the district for at least five years and score as a level four or five on the teacher level of effectiveness scale for the previous two years.

The school board voted unanimously to award these teachers tenure with the system.

“These teachers have worked incredibly hard to achieve tenure status,” said Director of Schools Kelly Johnson said. “They pour their hearts and souls into students each day while demanding excellence. They are deserving of this recognition, and we are blessed to have them in Clinton City Schools.”
