Jackson P.E.O. Hosts 2024 Fall Festival
The local chapters of the Jackson P.E.O Sisterhood will hold their annual fall festival in Clinton this year.
The festivities will be on Saturday, September 7, in the parish hall of The Episcopal Church of the Creator, 1445 Clinton Raymond Road, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Arts, crafts, raffle tickets and baked goods will be available for purchase.
All of the proceeds will go to P.E.O. scholarships, grants, and loans to promote higher education for women.
P.E.O. is a women’s philanthropic organization founded in 1869 on the campus of Iowa Wesleyan University in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.
From its beginnings, it has become an international organization with 5,500 chapters in North America.
The P.E.O.Sisterhood has awarded mre than $432 million to 125,000 women to assist them in achieving their educational goals.
The group says its members are passionate about helping women achieve success through education.
In addition to the philanthropies, the P.E.O. Sisterhood provides a framework of support and community for all of its members.
