New chiropractic office set to open

Dr. Chase Kennedy will open his new chiropractic clinic, Chasing Wellness, at 8 a.m. Monday on Andersonville Highway in the Shops at Clinton Square.

He is a 2017 graduate of the Life University in Marietta, Ga., with a doctor of chiropractic degree, and had previously been in practice in Morristown for more than six-and-a-half years.

Born in Knoxville, Kennedy was raised in Strawberry Plains. He earned a bachelor’s degree in plant sciences in 2011 from the University of Tennessee.

Kennedy, 35, is the husband of Dr. Savannah Hammer, an optometrist with Volunteer Eyecare, also on Andersonville Highway.

Chasing Wellness will be open Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesdays from 2-6 p.m.; and Fridays from 8 a.m.-noon.

The office will be closed from noon-2 p.m. for lunch and business duties, he said.

His office is in the same building with Appalachia Family Dentistry, and next to Clinton Nutrition, about a half-mile east of Interstate 75, Exit 122.

“We love the location for the convenience to the interstate,” Kennedy said.

“I’m excited to be a part of the community, and I welcome all groups of people from newborns to seniors, in all demographics.”

He offers a comprehensive practice with services that include individualized adjustments, cold laser therapy, nutritional supplementation and, eventually, classes to promote education on nutrition, stress, and other wellness topics, he said.

The goal of his practice is for every patient to feel better and accomplish day-to-day goals free of pain, Kennedy said.

Kennedy lives in Powell with his wife and three dogs, and the couple has a baby on the way.

They got married in May, and have been together almost three years, he said.
