Chasing Wellness chiropractic clinic opens in Clinton
Kennedy, 35, had previously been practicing at a clinic in Morristown for more than six years before deciding to open his own practice in Clinton, he said.
He is a 2017 graduate of the Life University in Marietta, Ga., with a doctor of chiropractic degree.
On hand at 8 a.m. Monday to help him open the clinic were his wife, Dr. Savannah Hammer, an optometrist who practices nearby with Volunteer Eyecare; his parents, Boo and Kim Kennedy of Karns; and his chiropractic assistant, Hannah Gerken of Fountain City.
Born in Knoxville, Kennedy was raised in Strawberry Plains. He earned a bachelor’s degree in plant sciences in 2011 from the University of Tennessee.
Chasing Wellness is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesdays from 2-6 p.m.; and Fridays from 8 a.m.-noon. The office will be closed from noon-2 p.m. for lunch and business duties, he said.
The practice is in the same building with Appalachia Family Dentistry, and next to Clinton Nutrition, about a half-mile east of Interstate 75, Exit 122.
He offers comprehensive chiropractic care with services that include individualized adjustments, cold laser therapy, nutritional supplementation and, eventually, classes to promote education on nutrition, stress, and other wellness topics, he said.
The goal of his practice is for every patient to feel better and accomplish day-to-day goals free of pain, Kennedy said.
Kennedy lives in Powell with his wife and three dogs, and the couple has a baby on the way.
