Giving back
SL Tennessee, Clinton Plant recently gave a $1,500 donation to Anderson County Career and Technical Center. Students from ACCTC manufactured dexterity test that will be used in SL Tennessee’s training facilities. The partnership with SL Tennessee gives students from construction, engineering and welding an opportuinty to gain real world experience. “These types of partnerships allow ACCTC to prepare a local workforce and great employees to our local industry when the students graduate,” said Nathan Wade, ACCTC principle.
The student manufactured units test hand and eye coordination and the hand dexterity for the manufacturing processes.
The tests were built by students in three program areas of study and four separate classes at ACCTC.
