Community band to perform free concert on Sunday, April 13
The Oak Ridge Community Band will have a free concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at the Oak Ridge High School Performing Arts Center at 272 Illinois Ave.
The concert program includes “Liberty Bell March” by John Philip Sousa, “Beyond the Horizon” by Rossano Galante, “Second American Folk Rhapsody” by Clare Grundman, “Henry Mancini At The Oscars” by Jack Bullock, First Suite in E flat by Gustav Holst, “Trirsch-Tratsch Polka” by Alfred Reed and “Suite from Man from La Mancha” by Justin Williams.
The Oak Ridge Band, not connected to the Oak Ridge High School Wildband or the school system generally, includes adults, and brings together brass, woodwind and percussion players to perform in concerts throughout the year.
