White Buffalo wrestlers bring home hardware

Brooks Queener and Charlee Wolfley display medals won at the TNUSAW Freestyle and Greco-Roman state championships at Summit High School in Spring Hill.
Three wrestlers medaled in both disciplines, and one area athlete returned to East Tennessee with dual titles.
Charlee Wolfley, a rising fifth-grader competing in the 94-pound division, won championships in both freestyle and Greco-Roman in her age and weight class.
Aleesia Paoletto placed second in Greco-Roman and finished fourth in freestyle. Christian Wolfley was fourth in both styles in his classification. Brooks Queener and Max Wolfley also finished fourth in freestyle competition in their respective age and weight divisions.
White Buffalo Wrestling Academy will host its introductory youth wrestling camp June 6-7 at the academy’s facility, 3917 Andersonville Highway.
The camp is open to wrestlers ages 6 and up. The registration fee is $50 and must be paid by the start of the first session.
Camp sessions are scheduled for 6:30-8 p.m. Friday and 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday.

The Mavericks Wrestling Organization, which supports local youth and high school wrestling programs, will host its inaugural Mavericks Wrestling Scramble on Friday, July 25, at Centennial Golf Course.
There will be awards for the top four teams, closest to the pin, longest drive and “most honest” score.
Tee times are scheduled for 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
