Splatter studio turns chaos into creative fun

Among the experiences available at Splatter Oak Ridge is a blacklight room.
Splatter Oak Ridge officially opened in April at 162 Bus Terminal Road.
It’s run by married team Noel and Devin Robinson. It’s open by appointment. They describe it as a new interactive art studio for all ages and skill levels.
“Have you ever wanted to throw paint at the wall, your significant other, your sibling, your friend but knew you didn’t want to have to clean up the mess?” an email from the company stated. “Look no further. You come make the mess and we will do the clean-up. Maybe throwing paint isn’t your thing, but you would like to paint a canvas. We’ve got you covered there, too.”
They said they wanted to give people in Oak Ridge and the surrounding area something new to do not available anywhere else nearby.
“We loved the idea of a place for all ages to come and have fun without the worry of cleanup,” they said.
They offer three different options currently: a black light splatter room, a regular splatter room and a canvas painting room.
“The splatter rooms are there for people to have a blast throwing paint at each other, the walls, the floors, the provided canvases and not have to worry about the clean-up,” they stated.
They offer Tyvex suits and booties for people who would like to preserve their clothing; however, the business recommends people wear clothes and shoes that they do not mind getting paint on. Each person receives two reusable water balloons, a condiment squirter and a squirt bottle along with an eight-by-10 canvas.
The other room allows for people to sit and paint canvases, with all supplies included. It includes blank canvases and picture-lined canvases.
These types of events have different rates, and prices are subject to change.
Splatter Oak Ridge has no age restrictions and includes Crayola non-toxic paints for children who might be tempted to taste them.
