This first September session of the market originally was planned for the new city parking lot on North Main Street at North Hicks Street, where it was held in August.
The second September market will be at the Anderson County Fairgrounds, where most of this year’s sessions have been held, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27.
These will be the last regular market events for the summer, said co-founder Maggie Hanson.
“We will hold the markets in September, then take a break and hopefully start an indoor market at the Clinton Community Center for the fall and winter,” she said earier. “We’re talking with the city to work it out.”
Vendors in the past two markets have included Hill View Farm’s “produce bus,” along with others selling locally raised pork, beef and lamb; fresh baked goods and sweets; embroidered shirts and other non-food goods; handcrafted art; locally made hot sauces and spices; tallow products, and more.
Also on hand have been some food trucks.
Matthew Garafolo, a Clinton sheep farmer, and his partner, Hanson, created the market this year after the Clinton Farmers Market operators from the previous three years decided not to return this year.
The inaugural session was held on May 24, also at the fairgrounds.
