Hall, Lady Mavs defender, signs with Roane State

Anderson County soccer standout Bralee Hall is joined by family members as she signs her letter of intent to continue her academic and soccer career at Roane State Community College. Hall plans to focus on medical studies.
Anderson County High School senior Bralee Hall will continue her education and soccer career at nearby Roane State Community College.

A defender for the Lady Mavericks, Hall recently signed a national letter of intent to join the Lady Raiders, during a ceremony at the school.

“I did want to stay close to home,” said Hall, who helped Anderson County win three-consecutive District 4-AA and Region 2-AA tournament championships.

At Roane State, Hall will play for Coach Donnie Green, who recently completed his second season leading the program. Green previously coached at Oak Ridge High School and is a well-known figure in the Anderson County soccer community.

Hall said Green was a major factor in her decision.

“I enjoyed my visit, and I wanted to play for Coach Green,” she said. “I could tell he wanted what was best for me, both on and off the field. I liked the soccer facilities and the facilities for all the other sports teams.”

She has her sights set on a health-related profession and will begin her studies in physical therapy.

“I want to do something in the medical field,” Hall said. “I have several paths I can take.”

Hall said Roane State’s intimate academic setting and proximity to home played a key role in her decision.

“I wanted to start small and move on to a bigger school, instead of doing it the other way,” she said. “And I wanted my family to have the chance to see me play.”
