This Thursday, the market vendors will return at 4-7 p.m. to the new city parking lot on Main Street, across from Knight’s Flowers.
Co-founder Maggie Garafolo said at the wrap-up of last Saturday’s market that there were 15 vendors on hand, and a steady stream of customers for the duration of the event, held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“We had a good market,” she said. “We had vendors selling pork, beef, lamb and eggs, all from Anderson County farmers. There also were lots of baked goods and craft items.”
She said the market also will feature a variety of produce at each session, with the items varying as the growing season continues.
The Clinton market will operate each week through Halloween, alternating between the Main Street parking lot on Thursdays, and the fairgrounds off Charles G. Seivers Boulevard on Saturdays.
Garafolo and her husband, Matthew, started the current version of the Clinton Farmers Market last year, after the previous operators gave it up after the 2024 season.
They always operate their Clinch River Katahdins booth at the market, selling fresh Katahdin lamb.
The Garafolos said they decided to revive the Clinton market last year in part as a way to help market their own products.
More details, including the schedule for 2026, can be found on the website Clintonfarmersmarket.com.
There also is a weekly farmers market on the Square in downtown Norris, which operates from 3-6 p.m. each Wednesday.
