Betty Jo Hamilton Lovely, 87, Daleville, Ala., passed away Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at Medical Center Enterprise, Enterprise, Ala.
She was born Feb. 22, 1930, to the late William T. and Minnie Turner Hamilton.
Mrs. Lovely was retired from the NCO Club, U.S. Army Base, Ft. Rucker, Ala., after 22 years of service. Betty loved working, cooking, being with family and friends, and sitting in her sunporch and watching the animals. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a “surrogate” grandmother to many people.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by: Son, Bill Meeks; daughter-in-law, Sara Meeks; sisters, Margaret Jobe and husband Carl, Dorothy Farr and husband Paul.
Survivors: Husband, Owen E. Lovely; daughter, Anne Harrell and husband Michael; son, Tony Lovely and wife Julie; daughters, Melinda Maney and husband Cecil, Donna Harris; nieces, Robbie Lowe and Pat Strahan; nephew, Jim Jobe.
She also leaves behind to mourn her passing: Beloved 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; the Lovely family and a host of special family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2018, at Clinch River Baptist Church, 407 Cane Creek Road, Rocky Top, with Pastor Jason Lowe officiating.

Jerry Robinson of the Blowing Springs Community in Clinton went to meet Jesus Feb. 28, 2018, at North Knoxville Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 17, 1945, in Knoxville to the late William and Mable Robinson.
His last words were “Jesus is everything.” He was a generous, honest, faithful, fun loving and kind son, husband, father, father-in-law, Papaw, neighbor and friend. He was of the Christian faith.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by: Son, James Thomas Robinson; granddaughter, Ava Lynn Robinson.
He leaves behind to enjoy many precious memories: Wife, Jackie; daughter-in-law, Jennifer; grandchildren, Ayla Mae, J.T. and Eli Robinson; numerous relatives, neighbors and friends who he dearly loved and cared for.
The family would like to thank the surgeons, doctors, nurses, housekeeping and all the staff at Tennova North Medical Center for the loving care given to Jerry and his family during this difficult time.
The family received friends from noon – 2 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home followed by his funeral service in the chapel with the Rev. Roger Carter officiating.
His graveside followed at the Woodhaven Memorial Garden.
His advice to us all is “Enjoy today, it’s later than you think.”

Frank Telman, 85, Clinton, passed Saturday, March 17, 2018, at his home in Clinton.
He was the most wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Frank was known for his jokes and had a zaney personality. He enjoyed being an usher at his church and taking care of the widows. Frank was a member of His Hands Reaching Church in Clinton.
Frank was preceded in death by: Parents, John and Mary Telman; son, Frank Telman Jr.; brothers, Peter Raggazinkas and John Telman Jr.; and sister, Patsy Miller.
Frank is survived by: Wife, Dean Telman of Clinton; daughters, Sandy Gunter and husband Ellis of Clinton, and Mary Waters and husband Steve of Clinton; brother, William Koller and wife Diane of Ohio; four grandchildren, Heather Dolbeare and husband John, Samantha Solands, Robert Casteel and Michael Casteel; two great-grandchildren, Havanna and Belle Dolbeare; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Frank’s family received his friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2018, with his funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with the Rev. Roger Carter officiating.
Frank’s interment will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Clinch River Baptist Church cemetery in Lake City.

Vestor West, 81, Lake City, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center.
He was born March 20, 1936, in Morgan County to the late Teddy and Emma Bunch West.
Vestor was a member of the West Side Baptist Church in Lake City. He enjoyed working on clocks, watches, fishing, flea marketing and was a master plumber.
Vestor was preceded in death by: Wife, Vivian K, West; daughter, Wanda West; sisters, Virgie Carr, Verlie Yarbrough and Vada Poore; brothers, Vern West, Virgil West; and grandson, Billy Adams.
Survivors: Daughters, Debra Harness and Carl, Patricia Depew and Elvin; sons, Teddy West and Casandra, Stephen West; grandchildren, Chastity Figgins, Wanda Blalock, Jessica West, Krystal Wenz, Stephanie Richman, Tiffany West, Nathaniel West, Dalton West, Landon West; great-grandchildren, Jordon Ford, Caitlyn Jones, Alex Blalock, Sidda Figgins, McKenzie Depew, Katie Miles, Sophia Richman, Zoey Wentz, Odin Richman and Ryder Wenz; sister, Vivian Mosley; best friend, Cecil Nance.

David Alan Barton, 52, Clinton, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018, at his home.
He was born July 20, 1965, in Oak Ridge to Earl H. and Emma Sue Barton. David enjoyed fishing, music, and loved his two dogs, Timothy James and Tina Marie.
He was preceded in death by: Mother, Emma Sue Barton; and sister, Susan Barton.
Survived by: Wife, Kimberly Barton; father, Earl H. Barton; brothers, Charles T. Barton wife Debbie, Robert E. Barton wife Linda; sisters, Nancy L. Barton, Gloria J. Heffron; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Richard “Dick” Lee Boyd, 81, Clinton, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018, at Parkwest Medical Center.
He and wife Evelyn have been members of First United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge for 23 years.
Born in Arkansas City, Kan., Dick went to high school in Los Alamos, N.M. He received a B.S. from Eastern New Mexico University.
He worked at multiple Nuclear Power Plants across the country and in Italy for more than 30 years before working in remediation at various government sites.
He is survived by and will be greatly missed by: Wife, Evelyn Boyd of Clinton; daughters, Cyndie (Ed) Woodworth, Tracy (Dave) DeBus of Livermore, Calif.; son, Rick (Edna) Boyd of Walnut Creek, Calif.; stepsons, Jeff Longee of Oak Ridge, Joel Longee (Leigh) of Kingston; and stepdaughter, Janese Longee of Oak Ridge; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many friends.
The family received friends from 10 – 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018, at First United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge, with the Memorial Service following at 11 a.m. with Jenny Coughman officiating.

WILLIAM (BILL) JOHN FERRELL

William (Bill) John Ferrell, 75, Clinton, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, March 8, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving wife and family.
He was born June 1, 1942, in Knoxville and lived most of his adult life in Anderson County.
Bill was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church in Clinton and longed to be able to attend church one more time. He had worked for 35 years as a custodian in the Anderson County School System Association. He enjoyed fishing and doing yard work. Bill took extreme pride in his grandchildren and will be greatly missed for his sense of what was really important in life. His example lives on for all of us to follow and that is to be kind and help others. Bill’s favorite quote was, “Have a good day today and a better one tomorrow.” In life he brought smiles to a lot of faces that were struggling and downhearted. On Thursday morning Bill began his ‘Better Day’ and is now with the Lord, free from all the struggles that cancer brought into his life.
He was preceded in death by: Parents, Tillman Parker Ferrell and Rosalee Hutchison Ferrell; twin sister, Wilma Jean Ferrell; brother, Jim Ferrell.

The family received friends from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Pine Ridge Baptist Church. The funeral service followed at 1 p.m. in the church sanctuary with the Rev. Clifford Fraker and the Rev. Verlin Langford officiating.
Interment followed the service at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

William “Bill” Gingery, 61, Powell, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Fort Sanders Regional.
Bill was very devout in his Catholic faith and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and attended St. Therese Catholic Church and Albert the Great Catholic Church. For 17 years he worked at Key Safety Systems in Knoxville as an electrician. The most important thing in his life was his family and the Lord. Throughout his life he loved fishing, camping, and playing games with his family. Bill was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Preceded in death by: Father, Raymond Gingery; and his sister, Sharon Wasson.
He is survived by: Loving wife, Melody Gingery of Powell; daughter, Melissa Reynolds and husband Todd of Clinton; son, Bradley Gingery and wife Amber of Powell; mother, Ruthann Gingery of Indiana; grandchildren, Maddisyn and Mason Reynolds, Lilly and Kaitlyn Gingery; brother, Richard Gingery and wife Sonja of Indiana; sisters, Diane Osborn and husband Bob of Indiana, Susie Moore and husband Kirk of Michigan, Mary Hamman and husband Jeff of Indiana; sister-in-law, Monica Frazier of Kansas; several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home.
His Funeral Mass was at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Clinton. Bill’s graveside service immediately followed at the Woodhaven Memorial Garden with full military honors at graveside.
