Carol L. Wells Hutson, 75, Rocky Top, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017, at her residence.
She was born on May 30, 1941, to the late Rev. Tom and Minnie Davis Byrge in Campbell County. She was a member and loved attending Davis Chapel Baptist Church in Lafollette. She enjoyed singing, quilting, doing yard work, and cooking for her beloved family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: Husband, Ray Hutson; Sonny Wells; daughter, Janice Hutson; great-grandson, James Pennington; sister, Evelyn Jones; brothers, Lamon Byrge, Marshall Byrge, and James Byrge.
She is survived by: Children, Linda Pyles and husband Larry, Debra Roberts and husband David, Curtis Hutson and wife Christie; grandchildren, Kenneth Hicks and wife Christine, Dewayne Pyles and wife Shawna, Tosha Mcghee and Ron, Shawn McCullough and wife Nicole, Matthew McCullough and fiancé Candace, Madison Roberts and fiancé Blake, Tammy Wilson and Husband Donnie, Belinda Smith and husband Darrell, Ryan Hutson and wife Nancy, Christopher Hutson and wife Breanna; sisters, Ella Mae Poore, Joyce Swangin; brothers, Robert Byrge, Clyde Byrge, Warren Byrge; 25 Great-Grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Darrell Edwards officiating.
Family and friends wishing to attend the graveside service will meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017, will go in funeral procession to the Queener Cemetery in Caryville for an 11 a.m. interment.

Danny Ray Martin, 60, Clinton, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the Summit View of Rocky Top.
Danny was born Feb. 17, 1957, in Anderson County to the late Avery Cleo Martin and Margaret Hawkins. He was an Army veteran. Danny was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed camping and fishing.
In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his brothers, David Martin and Allen Foust.
Survivors include: Son, David Martin; brother, Warren Martin; sisters, Cindy Wilson, Linda and Charles Bowling; grandchild, Sabra Martin; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2017, at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City.

Lonas Avery Martin, 87, Rocky Top, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
He was born March 19, 1930, to the late Ed and Myrtle Martin in Anderson County. He was a member of the Crystal Lodge # 616. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, working on cars and was an avid outdoorsman.
He was preceded in death by: Wife, Ruby Huccaby Martin; all his brothers and sisters; daughter-in-law, Pat Martin; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He is survived by: Son, Avery Martin of Andersonville; daughter, Cathy Pannell and husband Fred of Crowne Pointe, Ind.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
The family received friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, May, 9, 2017, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the funeral following at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Danny Martin officiating.

Betty Jo McKinley, 73, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, April 30, 2017, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.
She was born March 9, 1944, to the late Nevie Sr. and Classie Mae Barton. Betty was a long time member of Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Clinton. She loved her family and friends. Betty enjoyed dancing, cooking and baking her specialty which was her chicken pies. She also enjoyed shopping. Betty worked at Levi Strauss in Powell until she retired.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: Brothers, Isiah, Nevie James and Curley Barton; granddaughter, Alana McKinley.
Betty is survived by: Loving family and will be missed by her daughter, Yelonda McKinley Poindexter of Clinton; devoted brother, Lincoln and wife Marcia Barton; special aunt, Inez Barton Johnson of Knoxville; close family friend, Oscar Moser of Clinton; sister-in-law, Janet Barton; close cousin, Sharon Cason; a host of nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces; special great-niece, LaSandra Golden; special great-nephew, Xalan Taylor; special little boy she called her grandson, Lebron Booker; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.

Born in Harriman on Jan. 16, 1958, Thomas (Tommy Lee) Bagwell (59) went peacefully to be with the Lord Sunday, April 23, 2017.
He was preceded in death by: Long time canine companion, “Wyzer.”
He is survived by: Two loving parents, Thomas and Nadine Bagwell of Claxton; siblings, Tim Bagwell and wife Cindy, Kathy (Bagwell) Bolton and husband Kerry; nieces and nephews, Tiffany Patterson, Greg Bagwell, Terica Leach, Alex Trowbridge, Samantha Bagwell and Melanie Bagwell.
Tommy Lee was a lover of animals and music. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1976 with a four year scholarship to the University of Tennessee in music, where he enjoyed playing his trumpet with “The Pride of the Southland Marching Band.” In the late 1980’s he made Winston-Salem, N.C., his home until an injury brought him home to Tennessee where he spent his last two years with family. His kind heart and gentle spirit will always be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In memory of Tommy Lee, there will be a private family service.
The family asks that those who wish to honor him can make a donation to the “Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation” for spinal cord injuries.

She was born in Anderson County on April 10, 1939.
Kathleen was one of the most loving, kindest women you could ever meet. She always told us she wanted to leave this world a kinder place by her deeds, and she succeeded. Family meant everything to her.
Kathleen was preceded in death by: Husband, Doyle T. Cardwell; father and mother, Condie and Naomi Henderson; brothers, Charles Henderson, William Henderson, Alvis Henderson, and Ronald Henderson; sisters, Anna Lee Elkins, and Alta Lee Henderson; several aunts and uncles.
She leaves behind: Loving children, Kim Richards and husband Jeff, Shannon Cardwell and wife Colleen, Alieshia Monday and husband Todd; loving grandchildren, Jeffrey Richards and wife Grace, Joshua Richards and wife Amber, Tausha Monday, Nick Monday, Katie Gresham and husband Jacob, and Grace Cardwell; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jailee and Jackson Richards, Allison, Logan, Brent, and Baylee Richards, and Emery Gresham.

Mary was a member of Lone Mountain Church in Andersonville. She loved having yard sales as well as going to them, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.

Aldeane Gill, 85, Clinton, passed away at her home April 28, 2017.
She was a member of Blowing Springs Baptist church and was an avid fan of the Lady Vol’s Basketball Team. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1949 and enjoyed working word search puzzles during her spare time. Aldeane retired from South Central Bell, where she had worked for more than 35 years.
Preceded in death by: Husband, John Hill; parents, James C. and Cloris Rhea; brothers, James C. Rhea Jr. and Amos Rhea; sister, Faye Hammons; brother-in-law, Ray Russell.
She is survived by: Husband, Sonny Gill; daughter, Deborah Hill Sandoz; grandson, Jonathan Sandoz; sister, Jean Russell; great-grandchildren, Kayla and Madeline Sandoz; stepson, Donald and wife Pat Gill; step-daughter, Sonya and husband Fred Graham; several nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank Carlis Hospice Healthcare and the wonderful care of Tonya and Cristina during her sickness. Also, want to thank Carolyn Wilkerson, caretaker, for all of the excellent care during Aldeane’s sickness.
